Wanlockhead, reputed to be the highest village in Scotland, is close to the border with South Lanarkshire, with which it shares a postal address, but is nevertheless in Dumfries and Galloway.
This category represents the most northern eastern parts of the Upper Nith, where Mennock Water feeds the Nith at Mennock. This category is for sites about, or showing postal addresses within this valley, between Willowgrain Hill and Lowther Hill.
Please only suggest sites to this category if they are exclusively about, or show postal references to the area between Wanlockhead and Mennock. Those north of the Dumfries and Galloway border should be suggested to the most suitable category in South Lanarkshire instead.
Sites for locations to the west should be suggested to the Sanquhar category instead.
Sites corresponding to locations to the south may be more suitable for a sub-category of Thornhill, otherwise please suggest to a sub-category of Dumfries and Galloway instead.
