Created in 1999, The Township of Magnetawan combines most of the former Township of Croft, all of Chapman and Spence Townships and the Village of Magnetawan. It is located in the heart of Almaguin Highlands, adjacent to Muskoka and east of Parry Sound.

McNab/Braeside is a township in eastern Ontario, in Renfrew County. The township was created on January 1, 1998, when the Village of Braeside amalgamated with McNab Township.
As of January 1, 1998, the Village of Merrickville and the Township of Wolford were amalgamated to form the Corporation of the Village of Merickville-Wolford.
