The Census Metropolitan Area of Kingston is in the southern region of Ontario, near Lake Ontario and southwest of Ottawa. It is the municipal area as outlined by Statistics Canada and includes the City of Kingston and the Townships of Frontenac Islands, Loyalist and South Frontenac.
