Bald Mountain Township is an unorganized township immediately west of Blanchard, in mid-eastern Somerset County, Maine. (reference T2 R3 BKP EKR)
Settled by Charles Gellerson in 1830, organized as a plantation in 1840, and named after the historian, George Bancroft. Town incorporated in 1889.
