Clare County is located in the middle of Michigan. It's main north-south route is M-27 and the major east-west route is M-61. Cities in Clare County include Clare, Harrison, Farwell, Lake George, Leota, and Dodge City. The county is served by both the Clare Chamber of Commerce and the Harrison Chamber of Commerce, and much of the area is considered a tourist destination. The county seat is in Harrison and all county government offices are located there.
