Farden Township is bounded on the west by Helga Township, on the east by Pike Bay Township, on the north by Frohn Township, and on the south by Hart Lake Township.

French Lake Township is on the western edge of Wright County, just south of Annandale. The township includes both a body of water and an unincorporated village called French Lake. The unincorporated village of Knapp is on the southern edge of the township, and West Albion (also unincorporated) is on the eastern edge of French Lake Township.
The Town of French, Minnesota, about 20 miles north of Hibbing, includes the unincorporated community of Side Lake, as well as McCarthy Beach State Park.
Frohn Township is in southern Beltrami County. The Mississippi River runs through it, and most of Wolf Lake is in the township. Frohn Township is bounded on the west by Bemidji Township and the City of Bemidji, on the west by Ten Lake Township, on the north by Turtle River Township, and on the south by the Hubbard County line. The unincorporated village of Rosby is in the southwestern part of the township.
