The Cheyenne River Reservation is located in north central South Dakota. Covering 1.4 million acres, it is bordered by the Missouri River on the east and the Cheyenne River on the south. Four bands of Lakota Sioux live on the reservation: Minnecoujou, Two Kettle (Oohenunpa), Sans Arc (Itazipco), and Blackfoot (Si Sapa).
