Beaver, Utah is located in Beaver County. It was settled in 1856, when Brigham Young requested some settlers from Parowan to settle along the Beaver River then dotted with beaver dams.
The area is known for its hunting and fishing and other recreational activities. The community is home to a Historic District with over 30 building of unusual pioneer architecture.
