Please read these instructions carefully to decide the most appropriate category to submit your website to. Submitting to an incorrect category may delay your listing.

To submit to any category under the Cairns locality your address must be physically located within the locality or the content should be more or less exclusively about the locality. Please note that if your site covers more than one locality you should submit to the next level up - for multiple locations within Cairns City council area: Cairns Municipality; for multiple locations within Northern Queensland across shire/city boundaries: Far North Region; for state-wide locations: Queensland. Except in exceptional circumstances, you are permitted only one listing in the Regional branch of the ODP although you may submit your site to an appropriate topical category too. Please read the ODP Guidelines before submitting particularly as regards the wording of your submission. Note that using a different or disguised URL in an attempt to gain a second listing is not permitted and may ultimately affect your primary listing.

Residential - this is intended for real estate agencies whose primary business is focused on selling or letting residential properties although commercial services may also be offered.

Commercial - this is intended for real estate agencies whose primary business is focused on selling or letting commercial properties although residential services may also be offered.

For Sale By Owner - this is intended for the sale of substantial individual properties not listed through an agency and for maintained web-sites providing a listing service for less substantial properties for sale directly by the owner (the site must be maintained by a Cairns-located operator or contain properties exclusively in Cairns). It is not intended for listings of individual homes or for listing services covering a wider area than the Cairns locality.

Valuers - this is intended for companies offering property surveying and valuation services as their primary business.

Builders and Developers - this is intended for direct sales of properties by a builder or property developer. This may include properties already completed and offered to investors and potential occupiers, and also services to build or develop properties to a client''s instructions. This category also includes building renovation and repair services.
