This category contains a web directory of English-language sites relating to Brazil in general.

Brazil makes up nearly half the total area of South America. To the north, west, and south it borders every country except Chile and Ecuador. To the east, it is blessed with 4,600 miles of unspoiled, South Atlantic coastline, including some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Brazil's land mass totals 3,285,632 square miles, more than all the European countries combined or the continental United States. Before submmiting a site, make sure that both the site and description are in English and the web adress (URL) is correct. If the site you want to submit is in Portuguese, please go to the following category and submit it there:World/Português/Regional/América_do_Sul/Brasil

Before you submit your site please take the time to look around and review the guidelines below. Following these guidelines will speed the acceptance of your site and significantly reduce the chances of its rejection.

Finding the Proper Location for Your Site:

Conduct a search of the Open Directory for a few keywords that relate to your site. The search results will serve up listings of different categories. Go to those categories and determine which one is appropriate for your site.

  • Be sure to review the subcategory descriptions, if available, to determine whether your site is appropriate to that category or subcategory.

  • Review the site descriptions of the entries in the category to which you intend to submit. Prepare your description in advance. Please do not just send us your META description.

  • The Regional: South America: Brazil: States and Regional: South America: Brazil: Localities hierarchies.

      If your site relates only to a specific geographic region in Brazil, you should submit to the appropriate State or Locality category. Doing so will speed up the process of your submission and increase the possibility of your site being accepted.

  • The World: Portuguese hierarchies.
