Stefan Banach, 1892-1945. Polish mathematician who founded modern functional analysis and made major contributions to the theory of topological vector spaces. In addition, he contributed to measure theory, integration, and orthogonal series.
Daniel Bernoulli, 1700-1782. Mathematician whose most important work considered the basic properties of fluid flow, pressure, density and velocity, and gave their fundamental relationship now known as Bernoulli's principle.
Friedrich Wilhelm Bessel, 1784-1846. German mathematician who used a method of mathematical analysis involving what is now known as the Bessel function.
