BepiColombo is an European Space Agency (ESA) mission which will set off in 2012 on a journey lasting up to four years and two months. When it arrives at Mercury, it will endure temperatures as high as 250 °C to bring us new images and data about the least explored planet in the inner Solar System.

Mariner 10 was the seventh successful launch in the Mariner series, the first spacecraft to use the gravitational pull of one planet (Venus) to reach another (Mercury), and the first spacecraft mission to visit two planets. Mariner 10 was the first (and as of 2003 the only) spacecraft to visit Mercury.

MErcury Surface, Space ENvironment, GEochemistry and Ranging (MESSENGER) is a NASA Discovery mission launched in August 2004. The primary objectives of MESSENGER are to study Mercury from orbit for a period of one Earth year. MESSENGER is equipped with an imaging system, x-ray, ultraviolet, energetic particle and plasma, gamma-ray and neutron spectrometers, laser altimeter, magnetometer and radio science experiments.
