James A. Lovell piloted Gemini 7, commanded Gemini 12, orbited the moon on Apollo 8 and commanded the aborted Apollo 13 moon flight. Lovell was born March 15, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio, and died August 7, 2025 at age 93 of natural causes.
