Paper and Reusable Straws

Plastic straws are generally used once and then thrown in the trash. In the USA alone, about 500 million plastic straws are thrown away every day. Much of this waste finds its way into the ocean where animals either try to eat it and die, or huge amounts of trash are found in our oceans. Straws that can be reused or are biodegradable help reduce the problems caused by single use plastic straws.
