Laura Welch Bush was born Nov. 4, 1946 in Midland, Texas. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Education and from University of Texas with a Master's in Library Science.

She and George Walker Bush married Nov. 5, 1977 and have two twin daughters, Jenna and Barbara. She is serving as First Lady during her husband's term as president, which began January 20, 2001.

Lou Henry Hoover (1874-1944) was born in Waterloo, Iowa. Following her graduation of Stanford, she married Herbert Hoover February 10, 1899. They had two boys, Herbert, Jr. and Allen Henry. She served as First Lady of the United States during her husband's presidency from March 4, 1929 to March 4, 1933.

Thelma Catherine "Pat" Ryan Nixon was born on March 16, 1912, in Ely, Nevada. She married Richard Nixon in 1940. The Nixon's had two daughters, Tricia (Mrs. Edward Cox), and Julie (Mrs. David Eisenhower). She served as First Lady of the United States during her husband's presidency from January 20, 1969-August 8, 1974.

Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, 1929-1994 was born in Southampton, New York. She married John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953. They had three children: Caroline (born 1957), John (born 1960), and Patrick, who died two days after his birth in 1963. She served as First Lady of the United States during her husband's presidency from January 20, 1961 until he was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963.

Anne Frances (Nancy) Davis Reagan was born on July 6, 1921, in New York City. She and Ronald Reagan were married on March 4, 1952. She served as First Lady of the United States from January 20, 1981 to January 20, 1989 during her husband's term as President.
