Court Reporters work in court as official reporters and as freelance reporters, doing deposition and court work. They work alongside attorneys providing many difference services. They are the ones you usually see using a "little machine". They are responsible for placing witnesses under oath and providing a verbatim transcript of testimony.
Submissions should contain clear and concise information on your web site and what services you offer. Do not list rates, as it is considered unethical to do so. Do not list phone numbers in titles or descriptions

Titles should not be in all caps.

Expert witnesses are specialists in their respective fields that provide advice and assistance to attorneys. Consulting with an expert witness is something best left to your attorney. There are many aspects of trial that only a qualified attorney should deal with and the selection of an appropriate expert for your case is one of them. An expert witness generally has extensive experience in a particular subject, may be published in technical or professional journals, may have certain degrees, memberships or other qualifications. An expert witness is not an advocate for one side or another, they are independent of the attorney. Unlike any other witnesses, experts can present their opinions to the court.
Please submit the name of your firm or company as the name for the listing and NOT a generic description of the services you offer. Submit only the main page (domain) of your site and not a subdirectory. If you site is hosted on another domain, submit the applicable page. Sites will be reviewed in detail and changes will be made according to these requirements. Do not submit duplicates or mirrors. If spamming occurs, the original site will also be deleted.

Please note that your law firm will not be listed in every category, or even a majority of categories. Inclusion of firms is based upon an editor's review of your website. Most firms will be listed in only one category. Firms with a broad range of practice areas will be classified depending upon their typical client:

General Practice -- General practice firms have, as their primary focus, the service of the legal needs of individuals, and the basic needs of small businesses. Firms that offer a mixture of representation for such matters as personal injury, personal bankruptcy, criminal defense, family law, workers'' compensation, consumer protection, plaintiff-side employment law, residential real estate, and estate planning should classify themselves as "General Practice".

Business and Corporate Law -- Law firms in this category have, as their primary focus, the service of the needs of business clients. Firms that offer a mixture of representation for such matters as transactional law, securities regulation, intellectual property, trade and commerce, administrative law, labor law, environmental law, real estate development law, or business taxation, should classify themselves as "Business and Corporate Law".

* If your firm has one or two focused practice areas, please submit it to those practice areas. Our editors will review your website before adding it, so please do not submit to inappropriate categories, and please do not submit your site as a law firm if you are not licensed to practice law. Our editors will review your site before adding it to the directory, and within their discretion may add it to only a single category.

* If your firm has four or more practice areas, please submit it to General Practice or Business and Corporate Law.

* If your firm has more than one website, please choose a single URL for each category where you wish to list your site. You risk having your submissions excluded, if you submit to a single category of practice under multiple URLs. Please note that submitting under multiple URLs or internal links will not allow you to submit to more categories than would be allowed with a single URL.

* If your firm provides a broad range of services, but focuses on one or two specialties, submit to General Practice or Business and Corporate Law, and the specialty categories. Our editors will review your suggestions, and will add the site to the category or categories they deem appropriate.

Failure to submit your site appropriately may end up in the rejection of your submission.
