The General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) is one of the world's largest and oldest women's volunteer service organizations. Working locally through thousands of clubs in the United States and globally in more than 20 countries, GFWC members support the arts, preserve natural resources, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, stress civic involvement, and work toward world peace and understanding.

Clubs shape their local agendas to suit particular community needs. Each local chapter benefits from membership, service, material, and program support from state and national Federation levels. Ladies' Circle is an organisation for young women between the ages of 18 and 45 and it aims to promote friendship through social contact at local, national and international level and to be of service to the community. For many years Circlers were the wives or partners of Round Tablers or ex Tablers but in 1993 the rules were changed and Ladies' Circle is now open to any woman in the age range 18 - 45, and whilst we work very closely with Round Table on many issues, both business and social, we are a totally independent organisation... The National Association of Ladies' Circles of Great Britain and Ireland is also a founder member of Ladies' Circle International, which has 21 full member countries and 12 associate member countries situated around the world.
Lineage societies are those founded by, and for the descendants of, noted ancestors who were primarily engaged in a historic event - such as a war or battle, the birth of a new state, country, or town, an immigration, or any other event that is heralded in the history books. The Society causes can be philanthropic, historical, genealogical, or educational; however, their objectives are generally to foster the memory and ideals of their ancestors for which the Society was founded.

Townswomen's Guilds are groups of women who meet together regularly, regardless of politics, race, age, religion or circumstance, to exchange ideas, develop new skills and interests, lobby on various issues and, above all, have fun. The Townswomen's Guilds movement has its roots way back in 1865 when a group of women joined together to press for equal franchise and, after women were given the vote in 1928, the Townswomen's Guilds was formed to educate them in the principles of good citizenship.
