For sites exclusively focussed on the feast to celebrate the end of Ramadan; takes place on the 1st of the month of Shawaal. Websites with gifts or cards for sale, or for sending greetings cards will not be accepted here. They should be submitted to the appropriate category.
For sites exclusively about Eid al Adha, celebrating Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail. Takes place on the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah (last month of the Islamic calendar). Websites with gifts or cards for sale, or for sending greetings cards will not be accepted here. They should be submitted to the appropriate category.
For sites exclusively focussing on the feast remembering the Prophet's birthday, celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi' al Awwal (the 3rd month in the Muslim calendar). A significant group within the Muslim community feel that this celebration is not Islamic - we will accept sites from "both sides"! However, websites with gifts or cards for sale, or for sending greetings cards will not be accepted here. They should be submitted to the appropriate category.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. During this month Muslims observe the Fast of Ramadan. For the entire month, Muslims fast during the daylight hours and gather with friends and family in the evenings for food and fellowship. We will not accept websites for e-cards, decorations, or other sales in this category.
