Without proper training, a horse is just a nice looking animal. There are many types of training, and many training approaches. Horses may be trained to a high level for a particular type of sport, and specialist trainers will be found under the discipline or breed in which they specialize. Riders also must be trained, but sites relating to teaching and training the rider are not included in Sports/Equestrian/Training.
This category is for sites relating to the training of horses that is not specific to a particular discipline or breed. Breed specific trainers should submit their site to the relevant breed category in Sports/Equestrian/Breeds.

Trainers who specialize in training horses in one discipline , e.g. Dressage, should submit their site to the Training category in that discipline. For example: Sports/Equestrian/Eventing/Training_and_Facilities

Trainers and clinicians who offer all-discipline training, behaviour modification, basic backing and schooling etc. should submit their sites to the relevant regional sub-category.

Riding Stables that provide a range of training services including teaching the rider on school horses should submit to Sports/Equestrian/Riding Stables

Training may be specific to a particular discipline, for example, Dressage, or Driving. Or it may be more general - basic backing to saddle, sorting out behavioural problems. Some horse owners may be experienced enough to train their own horses - others will call on the services of a horse trainer.
