Possibly the greatest quarterback of all time. Played for the Baltimore Colts (1956-1972) and the San Diego Chargers (1973). He has received numerous awards including "Greatest Player in the First 50 Years of Pro Football" and an induction into the 1979 Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Was drafted out of Texas A&I by the Oakland Raiders in 1967. Played Guard for the Raiders from 1967 to 1981. In addition to his many playing accomplishments, Gene Upshaw is the long-time Executive Director of the NFL Players Association.
Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987.
