These are Stock Cars that do not run under the Official sanctioning body of NASCAR. They race on dirt or asphalt tracks in many different divisions. There are fenders covering the wheels of these cars. If they are "open wheeled' they are called Modified Race Cars and belong in at different category.
Add only non-NASCAR Stock Car web sites. There are many divisions of these Stock Cars such as: Late Model, Super Stock, Mini Stock, etc.

Baby Grands are a 2/3 scale replica of a Winston Cup Stock Car. Baby Grands use new Yamaha XJR1300 engines which produce 120-125 hp. Each car's weight of approx. 1250 lbs., combined with the responsive Yamaha engine produces a 10:1 power to weight ratio.

Figure 8 events are races run on an eight shaped track with various types of stock cars.

The definition of Late Models depends on the series and/or track in which the cars are competing. Some tracks will allow body styles up to 10 years old in their "late model" classes while most of the higher divisions allow one to three year old body styles. The bodies can be fiberglass or sheet metal. They compete on asphalt and dirt tracks.

The Super Minicup car is a 1/2 scale stock car built to resemble NASCAR Winston Cup cars. They have tube chassis, adjustable suspension, coil-over shocks, disc brakes, and one piece fiberglass bodies.
