The definition of Late Models depends on the series and/or track in which the cars are competing. Some tracks will allow body styles up to 10 years old in their "late model" classes while most of the higher divisions allow one to three year old body styles. The bodies can be fiberglass or sheet metal. They compete on asphalt and dirt tracks.
