Marthe Arends is a Pacific Northwest author of both fiction and nonfiction. Writing under her real name she has written a number of genealogy reference books. Under the pseudonym Katie MacAlister she has written several romantic comedies and paranormals; she is best known for the Aisling Grey, Guardian series. Marthe also uses the pseudonym Katie Maxwell for young adult fiction, including the Goth and Emily series.
