Peter "Ginger" Baker was born in Lewisham, London on August 19, 1939, and went on to become one of the most prominent drummers in popular music.
He was in many groups including The Storyville Jazz Men, Alexis Korner's Blues Incorporated, The Graham Bond Organisation, Energy, Ginger Baker's Nutters, Cream, and Blind Faith.
He was diagnosed in 2016 with serious heart illnesses and retired. He died October 6, 2019.
