Fecal Matter was a band that existed for a very short time in 1985, composed of:

• Kurt Cobain - Guitar/Vocals
• Dale Crover - Bass Guitar
• Greg Hokanson - Drums
• Mike Dillard - Drums

The Fecal Matter Demo is a demo Kurt made at his Aunt Mary's house in December of 1985. It is considered the "holy grail" of Nirvana collectibles. There is a CD titled "Fecal Matters." This is not the real Fecal Matter demo. It is just some Bleach-era studio material. A few years back, Fecal Matter Quest (an old online group which hoped to find the demo and other rare Nirvana recordings) found what some believe to be the Fecal Matter demo. It was the hot topic of discussion in online discussions among Nirvana fans. That recording turned out to be a fake.
