Marvin Lee Aday was born September 27, 1947 in Dallas, Texas, USA. He legally changed his first name from Marvin to Michael in 1984. His stage name was Meat Loaf, which originally was a nickname in his teen years. He was financially successful as a singer and actor.

He was against any Covid-19 vaccination or mask-wearing requirements, and publicly blamed China for the virus. He died of complications of Covid-19 on January 20. 2022.
