My Account
Hakon Børresen (1876-1954) is counted among the Danish composers, even though he had a Norwegian father. He remained musically fairly conservative throughout his life, even though he began composition in the late Romantic period and continued well into the 20th century. His opera Den kongelige Gæst (The Royal Guest) has remained among the most performed operas in Denmark.
