Czech Romantic composer Antonín Leopold Dvořák was born in 1841 and died in 1904. His best known work is probably his ninth and last symphony, From the New World. His influences included Czech folk music, American pentatonic themes and flattened 7ths, and earlier musicians whom he admired.
