Gaétan Essiambre (1956-) was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He began writing music at age 12. He moved from rock into commercial advertising music, then television and film. An ongoing project began in 1997, when he started providing original music for each episode of the television program Un gars, Une fille.
