Born in Venice in 1924 and died there in 1990. Along with his contemporaries Stockhausen, Boulez, and Maderna he was an important avant-garde composer of the 2nd half of the twentieth century. A serialist who increasingly turned toward electro-acoustic instruments in his later years.
