Arts Music Composition Composers S Scriabin, Alexander Nikolayevich
Russian Modern period composer and pianist Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915) studied with Rachmaninov in Moscow. His intellectual and spiritual curiosity led him to Madame Blavasky and Theosophy, then to Indian mysticism, which often influenced his later compositions. His final intended work was to be a week-long multimedia extravaganza in India, but he died before it was even drafted and only the Acte Prealable was completed, this by others after his death.
