Danny Wayland Seals was born in McCamey, Texas on February 8, 1948 and died from mantle cell lymphoma March 25, 2009.
He was the younger brother of Jim Seals, known from the duo Seals and Crofts. Dan Seals came from a family of many musicians.
Seals was perhaps best known as England Dan in the duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, who performed soft rock in the late 1970s. After that, he had a successful solo career, playing soft rock and mostly country music.
