Ryuichi Sakamoto was born January 17, 1952 in Tokyo, Japan. He was a music performer, composer, and producer, mostly in electronic and experimental styles. He composed the opening ceremony score for the 1992 Summer Olympics. He also acted in several films.
He was married three times and had four children from all three wives. He died of cancer on March 28, 2023.
