Richard Harris - gaunt Irish leading actor, born 1st October 1930, Limerick, Ireland; died from hodgkin's disease, 25th October 2002, London. Usually cast as a rebel, he tried to match the part in real life. Films include 'The Guns Of Navarone' (1961), Lindsay Anderson's 'This Sporting Life' (1963), 'A Man Called Horse' (1970), and recently as Professor Albus Dumbledore in the first two 'Harry Potter' films.
