Bernard Hill - British actor, born 17th December 1944, Manchester, England. In the 1980s, he earned critical acclaim for roles in stage and television productions of Shakespeare's plays. TV roles include Gratus in 'I, Claudius' (1976), and Yosser Hughes in 'Boys From the Blackstuff' (1980) ("gissa job"). Later film roles include 'Drowning by Numbers' (1988), Captain Smith in 'Titanic' (1997), and Théoden in the 'Lord of the Rings' series (2002-2003).
