Jodhi May - British actress, born 1975, London, England. She started her film career aged 12 with a central role in the 1988 film A World Apart, a critical look at the apartheid policy in South Africa. For this she won the award as Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival. Television credits include The Aristocrats, The Mayor of Casterbridge, and Tipping the Velvet. Film credits include A World Apart, Last of the Mochicans, and The Woodlanders.
