Terence Stamp - leading British actor, born 22nd July 1939, Stepney, London. A successful early film career, starring in 'Modesty Blaise' (1967), 'Poor Cow' (1967) and 'Far From The Madding Crowd' (1967). He then retired to India for a while, returning to star in 'Superman II' (1980), 'The Hit' (1984) and others.
