Born Benjamin Kubelsky in 1894, Jack Benny went through a number of name changes until finally becoming Jack Benny circa 1920. His career spanned vaudeville, radio, television and movies. Jack appeared in more than 30 movies but was best known for The Jack Benny Show which began in 1934 and ran for 33 years on radio then television, finally going off the air in 1965 when Jack was 71. Jack continued to host specials and make personal appearances until his death in 1974.
