Annette Crosbie - British actress, born 12th February 1934, Gorebridge, Midlothian, Scotland. Best known for her role as 'Margaret Meldrew' in the acclaimed BBC comedy Series 'One Foot in the Grave' (1990), but has appeared in many other dramatic roles on both stage, TV and film. Annette took up a scholarship with the Bristol Old Vic when she was 17, then later came to London and joined the Old Vic company. She was awarded an OBE in 1998.
