Joan Plowright - one of England's most esteemed actresses of stage and screen, born 28th October 1929, Brigg, North Lincolnshire, England. She was married to Laurence Olivier from 1961 until his death in 1989. Films include 'The Entertainer' (1960) and 'The Three Sisters' (1970), 'Tea with Mussolini' (1999) and 'Callas Forever' (2001). She was awarded the CBE in 1970.
