She has appeared in many TV comedies, several with Victoria Wood. Film roles include 'Educating Rita', 'Personal Services', and 'Billy Elliot'.
Julie Walters played the role of Mrs Molly Weasley in the Harry Potter films.
She was made an OBE in 1999.
