Children's show designed to promote interactivity; its cast invites viewers to participate in the activities shown, as well as to send in their own ideas. Among other things, ZOOM is known for its segments featuring the made-up language Ubbi Dubbi. The show, produced by Boston-area PBS affiliate WGBH, was inspired by a British series called "Why Don't You Turn Off the TV and Do Something Less Boring?" and first aired from 1972 to 1978. An updated version of ZOOM began airing on PBS in 1999.
