My Account
Soay sheep are an ancient, primitive breed that originate from the British Isles thousands of years ago; the name comes from the island of Soay in the St Kilda archepelago off the coast of Scotland. Soay sheep are tiny, naturally hardy, have short tails that do not require docking and are known for parasite resistance. The fleece sheds naturally in the summer, and will generally vary from light to dark brown. Rams are horned, and ewes can be horned, scurred or polled.
