The Smooth Fox Terrier was originally bred in England to go to ground and drive fox out of their dens during the hunt. Their innate sense to dig comes out unless taught otherwise. They are lively, active and are said to have a great sense of humor. The Smooth Fox Terrier has a keen nose, remarkable eyesight and staying powers in accomplishing his work.
