Websites and webpages in the English language that are related to Vormsi (Estonian: Vormsi vald), a rural municipality part of the county of Läänemaa in the Republic of Estonia. The municipality covers an area of 93 km² is comprised of the entire island of Vormsi and small surrounding islets. Vormsi was mostly inhabited by Estonian Swedes (or coastal Swedes) until the end of the second world war, when they fled to Sweden ahead of the Soviet occupation. The pre-war population was around 3,000 inhabitants but currently only around 250 people permanently reside on the island municipality.
