ACIS brings together academics from a wide range of disciplines who share an interest in contemporary developments in Spain and Portugal.

Preserves information of historical interest relating to British influences in Portugal. Has a small library and also organises cultural events for its members, as well as offering tours of Peninsular War sites for visitors. Activities, articles and newsletters.
