Stockton-on-Tees is a Borough in the north-east of England. It used to lie in the former county of Cleveland, but it is now a Unitary Authority. For ceremonial purposes, the area north of the River Tees is part of the Ceremonial County of Durham, and the area to the south of the Tees is part of the Ceremonial County of North Yorkshire.
