- Gunnislake is a large village on the west bank of the River Tamar, in north east of Calstock parish, where
- the A390 provides the only road crossing of the Tamar, north of Saltash.
- The A390 runs through the west of Calstock parish to Callington, and
- the bridge crosses from Devon at the parish of Gulworthy on the way from Tavistock.
- Gunnislake railway station, is at the end of the line from Plymnouth via Bere Alston.
- This station is on the hill south of the main conurbation at Drakewalls.
