Brendon is an inland parish in the north western edge of the Exmoor National Park, and is administered by North Devon District Council. It is south of the coastal parish of Countisbury, with the parish of Lynton and Lynmouth to the west, otherwise surrounded by the county border with Exmoor parishes of Somerset. The village of Brendon is in the valley, scoured by the East Lyn River, though this category includes sites for moorland farms and dwellings of Brendon Common to Brendon Two Gates.
