This category represents the most northerly parish of Dorset.
Bourton is a village, now bypassed by the A303 trunk road, and skirts the North Dorset parish of  Silton to the south east.
Bourton parish extends south west of the A303, West Bourton, with its western boundary
with the  South Somerset parish of Cucklington.
North of the A303, the Somerset boundary is with  Penselwood.
Bourton's north east boundary is with Wiltshire at  Zeals.
The River Stour enters Dorset at Bourton, and flows south through Silton, to Milton on Stour in the parish of Gillingham
which extends west to the county boundary, before  Buckhorn Weston further south west.
